Alice In Wonderland
Location: Ron Koibus Lakeside Centre

Our 27th Pantomime.

Alice in Wonderland is our 27th full run traditional British Pantomine.
Alice, a sweet but headstrong girl finds herself in a new land full of strange yet wonderful characters. Following her inquisitive mind and a stubborn White Rabbit, she ends up in the adventure of a lifetime.

Sue Hall, one of our foundering members writes...
Our first panto, Aladdin in December 1991, was directed by Gaye LePage,
President of Lakeside Players. She also did the costumes and wrote three new
characters to enlarge the cast by three political ladies who were big in
Canadian politics at the time - Kim Campbell, Barbara MacDougall (me)  and I
have forgotten the third one!!! Darn.  Unfortunately the person playing one
of the roles had to drop out, so Gaye came on stage too! Gaye was a one
woman dynamo and many of the rest of us knew nothing about this form of
theatre.  We had kids as chorus and our band was a teenage piano player and
maybe someone on drums. No guarantees on that.  It was a big success, Gaye
was exhausted and we skipped a year or two before we started into pantos
full tilt.
