Babes in the Wood - A Pantomime by John Crocker and Eric Gilder -
In the happy village of Merry-Downderry, there is a bustling metropolis of villagers in lovely old England, where no one's against them and all are for them except one. He will be the one that brings the villagers no peace.... Baron Stoneyheart de Stoneybroke, the Sheriff of Nottingham. No one in the village, not a single soul likes the Baron. He has set his mind on having the hand in marriage of Maid Marion and has offered a reward for the arrest of Robin Hood. The Baron has been given two wards to look after as well, but when he finds out that they have an inheritance, he hires two henchmen, Horrible Herbert and Frightful Fred, to kidnap the Babes, Sammy and Susan, and do away with them. The money will be his!!!! In the way are the Hero's ... Robin Hood, the Lovely Polly Flinders, Muddles and Nurse Jemmima Bloggs. Of course, no panto would be complete without the fight of good over evil... The devilish, Demon Catbane and the wonderful Fairy Nightengale will be part of the cast.
Will good win over evil this time... only time will tell.
